Susan G. Komen Foundation gets new name and logo
Supporters of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation gathered Monday to celebrate the organization's 25th anniversary and image update. The group has a new name - Susan G. Komen for the Cure - and a new logo, combining the familiar Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure with its "For the Cure" trademark, officials said.
Tyler affiliates applauded the changes during a special kick-off celebration held at Sonoma Grill, 5875 Old Bullard Rd. With a new image in place, there will be few limits on what can - and will - be achieved for future generations of women, said board president Peggy Suggs, a breast cancer survivor.
